The monthly mass for children was celebrated last Saturday in the Jerusalem kehilla. Father Nicola played John the Baptist, explaining to the children the meaning of baptism. Father Piotr referring to the decorations in the chapel, prepared by Benny on the occasion of the Feast of the Baptism of Jesus, preached about water and fire that symbolize the baptism of water and of the Holy Spirit. In order to understand the expression "the Lamb of God" the children were invited to have a look at the paschal candle on which a lamb was pictured with the cross.

The celebration of the Eucharist was followed by a small celebration of the birthdays of a few of the children. Traditional Filipino food and cake were served. After the meal, noisy, spontaneous games with a ball brought the meeting to a close. Thanks to Claudia, Kirill and Tiago for their help, as well as the Maronite seminarian Sandy and the Salesian brothers Itchan, Carmelo and Lam.
