DMC youth in Jerusalem

A group of teenagers from the Divine Mercy Chapel in Tel Aviv spent a weekend in Jerusalem, on October 4 and 5, 2013.

Last weekend, October 4 and 5, a post-confirmation group of teenagers from the Divine Mercy Chapel in Tel Aviv spent their first weekend together outside of Tel Aviv. Where? In Jerusalem. Why? To participate in the life of the Local Church in her diversity of languages and to accompany Brother Alberto Pari OFM at his final vows.

The teenagers, aged 11 to 14, sought to maximize the fruits of this weekend, accompanied by Claudia from the Saint James Vicariate, assisted at different moments by Kirill and Eran. Friday night was a time to get to know the Jerusalem kehilla and they met with a few Jerusalem teenagers, celebrating mass together, having dinner and a time of sharing.

On Saturday, the adventure continued with a treasure hunt through the streets of the Old City, passing through the buildings of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, aint Savior (guided by Brother Ayman Bathish OFM) and Maria Bambina (hosted by Giacomo and Daniel of the Koinonia John the Baptist community) and, of course, the Church of the Resurrection (Holy Sepulcher).

The celebration of the vows of Brother Alberto in the Basilica of Gethsemane was the final moment together before returning to Tel Aviv, exhausted but very content.
