Children’s mass in the Jerusalem kehilla

On Saturday, December 6, 2014, a mass for children was celebrated in the Jerusalem kehilla, Father Rafic reports.

Last Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 14.30, in the home of the Jerusalem kehilla, the children of the migrant communities – who usually go to the Salesian monastery on Saturday afternoons – gathered together with their Salesian counselors and other children and Father Rafic, the priest responsible for the Jerusalem kehilla, celebrated mass for them in Hebrew, The readings at mass spoke of John the Baptist, a central figure during the Advent season, who prepared for the coming of Christ. After the mass, there was the celebration of Christina’s birthday and everyone enjoyed the tasty dishes that had been prepared by the mothers.

The children’s mass in Hebrew is scheduled to take place on the first Saturday of each month throughout the school year.
