New seminarian greets the kehillot

Luis Perez, with deep connections to Israel and the Jewish people, sends greetings as he prepares to enter the seminary.

"Brothers and Sisters of the Hebrew Speaking Congregations, my name is Luis Perez. Although we have not met I feel connected to you all through Jesus Christ our Lord. I am an Israeli through immigration who now lives in the Los Angeles area in California. With the help of the Blessed Mother, I returned to the Catholic Church after practicing Judaism most of my life. It is with the greatest honor that I announce to you that I have been accepted to St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, CA representing the Diocese of Orange under Bishop Kevin Vann. I ask you, brothers and sisters, for your continued prayers as I embark on this most holy journey to becoming a priest. I am proud of you all, and I am very proud to be an Israeli. Keep the faith, and I too will pray for you. Thank you all for your support and I hope that God will find a way for me to visit you all in person. The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all!”
