Using Hannuka as their cause, vandals sprayed anti-Christian graffiti on the walls of the Orthodox Monastery of the Cross in West Jerusalem. The slogans included: “Happy Hannuka – price tag”; “Victory for the Maccabees” and “Jesus son of a whore”. Cars parked nearby were also damaged by the vandals. Anti-Christian slogans were also sprayed on the walls of the Armenian cemetery.

Mayor Nir Barkat ordered the immediate removal of the graffiti and condemned the act. This is another in a series of acts of vandalism against Christian and Muslim holy places.
