New Maronite bishop begins mission in the Holy Land

With the transfer of Archbishop Paul Nabil Sayyah to Lebanon, where he now serves as Vicar to the Maronite Patriarch, the Holy Land joyfully received a new Maronite Archbishop, Moussa al- Hage. He was born in 1953 in Ayntourah, near Beirut. He studied in Rome and completed a degree in Bible at the Franciscan Studium in Jerusalem.

The new Archbishop made his official entry in Jerusalem on Saturday, September 1, 2012.

He ministers to the Maronite communities in Israel (particularly in Haifa area and in Galilee where the Maronites number many thousands), in Jerusalem and in Jordan.
