The Custody of the Holy Land announced that Father Hanna Jallouf and most of those kidnapped with him were released by the Jabhat al-Nusra in Syria.
Franciscan parish priest of Knayeh in Syria and most (but not all) of those kidnapped with him have been released. He is forbidden to leave the village where he is under a kind of house arrest, accused of collaborating with the Syrian regime by the Islamic rebels who control the area.
