The group “al-Raja” was founded in 1999 by young Christian musicians from different Christian communities. They use music and songs, most of which they have composed themselves, to praise the Lord. They see as their primary goal the spreading of Christian values: love, faith and hope in Arabic speaking Christian society. In this way, they also promote Christian unity and they are witnesses that one faith unites the heart of Christians in the Holy Land. Since its founding, the group performs for young people, especially at Christmas and at Easter, and also holds concerts in various institutions like orphanages, hospitals and old people’s homes.

The new disc bears the name “Teach me, oh Lord”. Eight songs in Arabic appear on the disc including the prayer “Our Father” and the Easter chant “Jesus has risen from the dead”.

We wish them every success in their musical endeavors.
