Priests' meeting – February 3, 2012


The priests of the Saint James Vicariate for Hebrew speaking Catholics in Israel met on Friday, February 3, 2012, at Latroun.

Present at the meeting were ten priests, including the priests responsible for the communities in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv - Jaffa, Haifa, Nazareth and Beer Sheva, and both priests working with the Russian-speaking communities.

The meeting began with praying the "Our Father". This was followed by news from the different communities including reports on recent events in the different communities.

The main subjects of the meeting were:

- Preparations for Easter
- Youth group and the planned summer activities
- The next weekend for families in Tiberias
- Children's camp during the Passover holidays
- Continued work on the children's catechism books
- Communication within and among the communities
- Fund raising

A second part of the meeting was dedicated to a discussion of the connection between the work of the Vicariate and the pastoral among migrants.
