Towards Madrid


Today, our young people move from Santiago di Compostella to Madrid, joining hundreds of thousands of young people, who will welcome the Pope on Thursday, August 18.

The program for the days to come for the hundreds of thousands of young people gathered in Madrid includes:

- Tuesday, August 16: Opening mass celebrated by the Archbishop of Madrid

- Wednesday, August 17: Beginning of the catechism sessions taught by Bishops from all over the world. Three bishops from the Holy Land are present with the group of Arabic speaking youth: Latin Bishop Marcuzzo from Nazareth, Greek Catholic Archbishop Chacour from Galilee and Greek Catholic Archbishop El Ayyash from Jordan.

- Thursday, August 18: Continuing catechism. The Holy Father arrives and is received by the youth at 19.30.

- Friday, August 19: Continuing catechism. At 19.30, the Way of the Cross.

- Saturday, August 20: At 16.00, begin to gather at the aerodrome. At 20.30, a night vigil begins with the Pope. Many occasions to adore the Blessed Sacrament.

- Sunday, August 21: Final mass with the Holy Father at 9.30.
