IMG-20180115-WA0018.jpg19 CPAM members attended the meeting from Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Haifa, Akko, and Nazareth. The goal of the meeting was to review, update and make the necessary changes to the CPAM existing document. On top of that, we wrote a tentative statement about the CPAM VISION and MISSION based on Pope Francis’ invitation to welcome, protect, promote, and integrate our migrant and asylum seeker brothers and sisters.

A special attention was given to the pastoral care for the second generation, the sons and daughters of the migrants, in order to help them to be more integrated in the church and in the Israeli society.

All the work was done in a serene and fraternal atmosphere.

We thank Fr. Carlos Santos and the Franciscan community of St. Peter, Jaffa, for hosting us and for their warm welcoming. A big ‘Thank You”, also, to Fr. Tojy for providing the delicious lunch.

After the meeting, we felt more committed in carrying on the pastoral work among the migrants and the asylum seekers.

The process has started, the work will go on.
