Today, during the organized activities at the center during the Hanukkah vacation, we went on trips with the children. We divided into two groups, the smaller ones went to a theater show with Sister Claudia, Daniel, Hermano and Ronny, and the bigger ones for a walk to the Old City together with Maroun and Father Nicola.

We played soccer with the group of older children on the grass, danced and watched a painter who painted the walls of the Old City. Afterwards, we strolled through the Old City until we reached a place called Maria Bambina, where we were hosted by members of the Communion and Liberation, a group of consecrated people from Italy, who showed us the place. We went up to the top floor, the terrace, and saw a beautiful view. Then they prepared lunch for us - delicious Italian pasta! We were very happy to meet them and we even took a photograph together.

With the smaller kids, we went to the theater to see a performance of the story of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. We arrived half an hour early before the show and then spent time playing with the children outside the theater. The special performance was played by one man only and with the help of voices and changing costumes, he managed to give expression to the theatrical story. The children enjoyed themselves and laughed a lot. At the end of the play the children were given donuts to celebrate Hanukkah. On the way back, we took a group photo in Zion Square, next to the statue.

All the children enjoyed the day immensely!
