Archbishop Pizzaballa meets migrant priests

On Thursday, October 5, 2017, Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, met with the team of priests of the Coordination of the Pastoral among Migrants and Asylum seekers. Father Rafic reports:

The Archbishop summoned to a meeting the team of priests of the Coordination of the Pastoral among Migrants and Asylum seekers, in the presence of Father Hana Kaldani, Patriarchal Vicar in Nazareth, and Father Rafic Nahra, Coordinator of the Pastoral among Migrants. Eight priests were able to attend the meeting, six from the Filipino communities (Father Michael Grospe, Father Carlos Santos, Father Bienvenido Baisas, Father James Oclarit, Father Vicente Supranes and Father Matthew Coutinho), Father Tojy Jose, chaplain of the Indian community and Father Diya Aziz, parish priest at Saint Anthony in Jaffa. Archbishop Pizzaballa wanted the priests to update him on the situation of the various migrant communities and their needs. Another aim was that each one express what he expected from the Coordination of the Pastoral among the Migrants. We came out of the meeting with a reinforced determination to work together as one, united Church despite the great diversity.
