New year in Vicariate day care centers

The new school year also signals a new year in the day care centers run by the Vicariate in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

On Sunday, September 3, 2017, the Saint Joseph day care center in Tel Aviv opened its doors to welcome 13 new babies. The day care, attached to the Our Lady Woman of Valor Pastoral Center, is directed by Sister Dinesha and welcomes daily, from 7.00 to 18.00, 52 infants from the migrant communities in south Tel Aviv. In addition to Sister Dinesha, nine women work with the infants in order to assure that they are received into a healthy and nurturing environment and not only are kept safe while their parents are at work but are also formed for their eventual integration into the Israeli kindergarten system. The day care center is run in collaboration with the Israeli NGO, Unitaf.

On Monday, September 4, 2017, the Saint Rachel Center day care opened its doors to the infants that frequent the day care daily, from 7.30 to 17.30. This year, 16 new babies were welcomed into the day care, which can accommodate a total of 28 babies. The director of the center, Fadia, is assisted by a wonderful team of seven other women, who work hard so that the infants can spend their day in an environment that is safe, welcoming and stimulating.

We pray that this year will be another year of blessing for all our children and especially for the most vulnerable among them.
