Filipinos saved Jews during the Shoah

"Yediot Ahronot", a Hebrew language Israeli daily revealed the fascinating story about the saving of 1200 Jews from Europe during World War II. Thank you to the member of the Jaffa kehilla who sent us the article.

L. from the Jaffa kehilla wrote in the message that drew our attention to the article: "After 73 years, the State of Israel thanks the Philippines for saving Jews during the Shoah. The Filipinos issued 1200 entry visas to Jews fleeing Europe. Perhaps we should think twice before expelling Filipinos from the country".
