On Monday, July 17, 2017, we began the activities of the summer camp for children at Saint Rachel’s Center. 30 children were present and the number will increase after the conclusion of the camps that are organized within the framework of the schools in about another week. It was especially moving to see the children that we do not see during the school year because they only come to us during the holidays and some of them only in summer – they have all really grown. In addition, the 16 children who are leaving our day care center and going up to kindergarten will also participate in the activities during the summer so that they can get used to being with older children as a preparation for next year in kindergarten.

We began the activities with a short explanation of the rules of the center and explained the various activities. After that, the group of older children went off with Benny so that he could explain to them their own program for the next month and a half. This year, the older children will have a different project according to which they will spend most of the day with Benny preparing things for the center and decorating it, preparing games for the smaller children and other things.

Meanwhile, the other children participated in a variety of activities like art, sport, board games, etc… The rest of day ran its course with regularity with lunch, rest and then again activities.

Thank you from the start to the counselors who are helping us throughout the summer. Please pray for us so that we might indeed pass through these summer weeks providing a fun experience full of joy for our children.
