Fifth weekend of Filipino youth

Last weekend, Hebrew speaking Filipino Catholic youth in Israel gathered for the fifth time and spent the weekend together. The many whatsapp discussions during the weeks ahead of the weekend bore witness of the importance these joint days have for each of the participants. The weekend’s program, packing list and, not to forget, dinner menu were discussed in detail.

We met on Friday evening at the Saint Rachel Center in Jerusalem, where the youth from Jerusalem had already prepared a delicious macaroni and cheese dinner for everyone. In the beautiful church of the Capuchin Monastery, we then came together for a night prayer in song, silent and group reflection led by Saint James Vicariate seminarian, Benny.

The following day was mainly a fun day in the swimming pool, enjoying our friendship and communion. We are already looking forward to our next meeting together, during the summer camp in Deir Rafat.
