Indian procession in honor of Mary in Nazareth


On Saturday, May 20, 2017, Indian Catholics participated in a festive procession through the streets of Nazareth.

The Indian Chaplaincy in the Holy Land organized a solemn procession in honor of the Virgin Mary and Holy Mass in Nazareth on Saturday, May 20, 2017. The solemn procession began from Mary’s Well in Nazareth at 9.30 in the morning, followed by the recitation of the rosary and Holy Mass, celebrated in Konkani in the Basilica of the Annunciation. The main celebrant at the mass was Father Santhosh Lobo OFM Cap and con-celebrants included Fathers Tojy Jose OFM, the Indian Chaplain, and Jose Kumar SCJ. About one thousand people participated in this celebration. It was a joyful and exuberant event as the people expressed their devotion to Mother Mary and sought her blessing.
