On Saturday, the members of the Beer Sheba kehilla with friends and family members, travelled to Jerusalem for the annual Lenten pilgrimage. After arriving at the Flagellation Monastery and a visit to the newly opened Archaeological Museum, we celebrated Holy Mass in the Condemnation Chapel. The fourteen stations of the Way of the Cross were prayed in Hebrew with songs in English and Arabic. During the free time the participants had the possibility to pray privately in the Church of the Resurrection (Holy Sepulcher Church) or to go to the Old City’s market in order to buy religious articles like rosaries, crucifixes, icons that cannot be found in Beer Sheba.
