Two new books in Russian

Zohar Khalfan, a Jerusalem tour guide, has published two interesting books in Russian.

The first deals with monasteries in the Old City of Jerusalem, hidden in the cities alleys and courtyards. The book documents these places, their history and the communities that administer them.

The second constitutes the first volume of a series that describes special icons that might be seen in the churches and monasteries of the Holy Land. Some of these images sometimes have unusual stories.
