The Jewish Christian Friendship in France awards a prize each year to a Jew or to a Christian who has contributed to the deepening of relations between Jews and Christians. This year the laureate of the prize is Father Michel Remaud, Director of the Institute for Jewish Studies and Hebrew Literature and a veteran member of the Hebrew speaking Catholic community in Jerusalem. The ceremony takes place at 19.00 on October 20, 2010 in the Conservative synagogue "Adath Shalom" in Paris. The host in the synagogue is Rabbi Rivon Krygier, an outstanding figure in Jewish Christian dialogue in France. The other speakers include Rabbi Rene-Samuel Sirat, former Chief Rabbi of Paris, Gerard Israel, Roger Assouline and Brother Pierre Lenhardt.

It will be remembered that the 2002 was awarded to Father Jean-Baptiste Gourion, Vicar for the Hebrew Speaking Catholic communities in Israel and Abbot of the Benedictine monastery in Abu Ghosh.
