Our Lady of Guadalupe in Beer Sheba

Father Piotr, responsible for the Beer Sheba kehillah, reports on an evening held on Sunday, December 11, 2016, about the apparition of Our Lady in Mexico.

Sunday evening the parishioners of Beer Sheba had an unique opportunity to learn about the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Mrs. Dulce Marinez, a new member of the community, prepared a presentation during which she explained the origins and the meaning of the apparitions, as well as their impact on Mexican history and culture. Mrs. Marinez came to Beer Sheba few months ago with her husband, who works as a coach in the local football team. She started to learn Hebrew and to participate in the parish activities.

The parishioners had the occasion to ask questions and to taste an original Mexican cake called pastel de tres leches or torta de tres leches, also known as pan tres leches ("three milks bread"), that is a butter cake soaked in three kinds of milk: evaporated milk, condensed milk and cream.

We would like to thank Mrs. Marinez for a lovely evening during which we could learn about the Monday Feast.
