We are all praying for Gilad Shalit

In the Jerusalem community and all the other communities of the Hebrew Speaking Catholic Vicariate in Israel, we are continuing to pray for the well being and release of Gilad Shalit, who has been in captivity for four years.

On the day that thousands joined the parents of the kidnapped soldier, Gilad Shalit, was they began their march to Jerusalem, our communities also raise their prayers for him. In the Jerusalem community, the faithful gathered in order to confer the sacrament of baptism on a baby girl, who was born a month ago. In his opening words, Father Apolinary mentioned the parents of Gilad Shalit and their expectation to see Gilad at home.

We continue to pray for Gilad Shalit and for justice and peace in our region.
