Remembering the dead in the Latroun kehilla

At the beginning of November, the Russian speaking kehilla of Latroun gathered to remember the deceased of the community and of the Church.

In the Roman Catholic Church, November is a time for remembering and praying for the deceased in a special way. For the first time in its history, the Latroun community gathered to pray in cemetery of the Beit Jemal monastery. During the prayer of the faithful, we prayed for our loved ones, friends, mentors, and everyone who needs our prayer.

While standing there between graves and crosses, hearing birds chirping and children shouting, listening to the cemetery's silence and the prayer exclamations, you realize that our Lord is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

We live in the hope of meeting Him and our loved ones in eternal life.
