Pope Francis is on visit to the Caucasus for a second time, after the visit to Armenia, and is now visiting Georgia and Azerbaijan, from September 30 until October 2, 2016.
In Georgia, the pope had two objectives: to promote peace in the region and strengthen ties with the local Orthodox Church.
