An infant, seven months old, died in the afternoon of Wednesday, September 7, 2016 after she was found unconscious in a nursery for migrants from Africa in south Tel Aviv. This incident adds to a series of tragic incidents in the institutions that are defined as “baby warehouses” in south Tel Aviv. The team of Magen David Adom rushed the infant to hospital, trying to resuscitate along the way but on arrival at the hospital the child was declared dead.

Another baby died ten days ago. The death of these children testifies to the difficult conditions in the baby warehouses in south Tel Aviv. The Catholic Church is working with other associations in order to try and change the realty and suggesting alternatives to the baby warehouses.
