Priests' meeting – March 12, 2010

The priests of the Hebrew speaking Catholic Vicariate in Israel met on Friday, March 12, 2010, at Latroun.

Present at the meeting were nine priests, including the priests responsible for the communities in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv - Jaffa, Haifa, Beer Sheva and one of the two priests working with the Russian-speaking communities.

The meeting began with an invocation of the Holy Spirit.

The main subjects of the meeting were:

- The budget of the Vicariate
- An exchange of news from the different communities
- Plans for the meeting of the communities on Easter Sunday, April 4
- Plans for the children's summer camp
- Preparations for the October 2010 Synod of the Catholic Church in the Middle East
- New initiatives in the Vicariate
- Our publications and the internet site
- Work with the Hebrew speaking children of foreign workers and refugees

The meeting ended with a modest Lenten shared meal and in the joy of being together.
