Meeting of the Russian speakers' commission – March 5, 2010

On Friday, March 5, 2010 the commission to plan pastoral work among Russian speaking Catholics met in Latroun.

The commission began its work in September 2009 and this was the second meeting of its members. The commission brings together those in the Hebrew speaking communities who are working with the Russian speakers in a pastoral capacity. The members of the commission are the three priests: Father Roman Kaminski, Father Wieslaw Dabrowski and Father Rastislav Dvorovy, Father David Neuhaus, Vicar for the Hebrew speaking Catholics, Brother Anton and two lay members of the Vicariate.

At the meeting, each member reported on the life of the three communities that pray in Russian, in Latroun, in Tiberias and in Haifa. Much of the discussion revolved around the identity and needs of Russian speaking Catholics in Israel and the Vicariate's projects to meet the needs.
