Priests' meeting – January 15, 2010

The priests of the Hebrew speaking Catholic Vicariate in Israel met on Friday, January 15, 2010, at Latroun.

Present at the meeting were eleven priests, including the priests responsible for the communities in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv - Jaffa, Haifa, Beer Sheva and the two priests working with the Russian-speaking communities.

The meeting began with prayer and then an exchange of news from the different communities.

The main subjects of the meeting were:

- Solidarity with Haiti
- Plans for the meeting of the communities on Easter Sunday, April 4
- Plans for the children's summer camp
- Our internet site
- Work with the Russian speakers
- Our publications in the light of the latest edition of Father Gregor's book for children
- The Synod in Rome in October for the Churches of the Middle East

The meeting ended with a shared meal and in the joy of being together and being able to discuss our joint work in the vineyard of the Lord.
