The campus of the Bialik Rogozin School is situated on Aliyah Street in south Tel Aviv, not far from the central bus station. Many of the foreign workers live in these southern neighborhoods of Tel Aviv and their presence is very palpable. In the school, there are pupils who are children of foreign workers from the Philippines, Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, as well as refugees from Sudan and Israelis too who are Jews and Arabs, Christian and Muslim. Due to the great variety of pupils, the administration of the school decided to invite religious leaders and educators to study together the different religions and cultures present in the school and thus reinforce sensitivity to the needs of the pupils.

On Tuesday, September 27, 2009, Father David lectured on Christianity in the school. After introducing the subject by touching on certain central themes: Who is Jesus Christ? What makes up the Christian Scriptures? What role does the Church play? The teachers asked questions and engaged in a dialogue that was friendly and fruitful.

Everyone expressed the desire to continue the contact in order to help the Christian children in the school who study in Hebrew and are getting used to life as Israelis. Needless to say, there was also anxiety expressed about the impending expulsion of the children of the foreign workers from the country in the bear future.
