Welcome Father Custos!

Surrounded by his brother Franciscans, accompanied by the heads of the Christian communities, diplomats and civil authorities, the new Custodian of the Holy Land made his way in procession from Jaffa Gate to Saint Savior Church in the Old City of Jerusalem. In a solemn yet simple ceremony he was proclaimed the new Custos and in his first address he thanked all those who had welcomed him.
