In a dramatic mass, marked by the throwing of stones by neighborhood youth, the Rehovot Catholic community bid farewell to the chaplain who has served the community for past three years. The chaplain, Father Eric, celebrated the mass concelebrated by his successor, Father Matthew Coutinho and Patriarchal Vicar Father David Neuhaus. Despite the stone throwing incident the mass was celebrated with joy and solemnity. At the end of the mass, a number of members of the community expressed their heartfelt thanks to Father Eric and to seminarian Javier, who is also bidding farewell to the community.

This mass also marked the culmination of the month of May celebration of flowers in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and she was crowned during the mass. A great feast followed the mass with a rich array of Filipino delicacies.
