Procession to honor Mary in Jaffa


On Friday, May 13, 2016, hundreds of Indians participated in a procession to honor Mary, mother of Jesus, in the month of Mary.

The Indian Chaplaincy in the Holy Land organized a Marian procession and the celebration of mass in honor of Mother Mary in Jaffa on Friday, May 13, 2016. The solemn procession began from the Jaffa clock tower at 18.30, followed by the recitation of the rosary and Malayalam mass at Saint Peter’s Church. The celebrant was Father Tojy Jose, the chaplain for the Indian community. There were about 300 people participated in this celebration. It was a joyful and exuberant event as the people expressed their devotion to Mother Mary and sought her blessing.
