We set out in the morning on Saturday. It was chilly but faith warms our hearts. We travelled northwards to the area of Haifa in order to make our way on foot for a number of hours in the Rakefet Valley. Along challenging paths, full of rocks and other obstacles, we had one goal: to reach the destination known as the Muhraqa, a site connected to the life of the Prophet Elijah and his campaign against idolatry. We set off as a community, united, and our faith paved a way for us. We reached the place, exhausted but satisfied, after a number of halts along the way, taking photographs and receiving explanations. When we had completed the course, a magnificent view revealed itself before our eyes: the panoramic view and the church. We prayed in this place and ate a fortifying lunch. It all happened thanks to Gilad, our guide along the way, Father Apolinary, all the participants and Jesus who is a light on our way.
