The Palm Sunday procession from Bethphage to Saint Anne’s Church is a joyful manifestation of the Church in the Holy Land. A brief video from the procession on March 20, 2016 tells the story.
The Church of the Holy Land is one in her faith and her mission. However, she is made up of a diversity of communities, each one living in its milieu, speaking its own language and expressing its culture. The Arabic speaking Christian Palestinians in Israel and Palestine, the Hebrew speaking Catholics, Israeli citizens and residents, the various migrant communities and the members of religious orders and congregations all come together in an explosion of color, joy and song.
