After a journey that lasted less than an hour, we arrived at Saints Simeon and Anne House in Jerusalem, the seat of the Saint James Vicariate. WE greeted Fathers David and Rafic and then made our way to the Via Dolorosa in the Old City. One of the children was too small to walk he distance and had to be transported by his energetic parents in a sophisticated new baby carriage.

We entered into the walk, wrapped in an atmosphere of holiness and great spiritual thirst. Walking with Father Apolinary, we learnt from his wonderful explanations about the Stations of the Cross of our Savior. The children read verses from Scripture and the adults added other short commentaries. We learnt a little about the history of the Church of the Resurrection (Holy Sepulcher). On exiting this holy place, we met a few members of the Haifa kehilla with Father Sergey. The encounter with the death and resurrection of Jesus on the Via Dolorosa left us with many thoughts, awake and thirsty for more experiences with the Lord. Everyone returned home safe and sound.
