Jerusalem kehilla visits the Anglicans

Father Rafic, responsible for the Jerusalem kehilla, reports on a visit of members of the Jerusalem kehilla to the Anglicans on Sunday, January 2016.

kehilla anglicans

Despite the biting cold and driving rain, five members of the Jerusalem kehilla went to Saint George’s Cathedral of the Anglicans on Sunday, January 24, in order to participate in the Eucharist within the framework of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. We were surprised to discover that our brothers and sisters, the Anglicans, have the same readings that are also read in our own Catholic Church. The unification of the cycle for the Catholics and the Anglicans is a beautiful and important step not only symbolically but also practically for the believers of the two Churches so that they can pray together on the same weekly readings and thus go forward together in following the Messiah.
