The priests of the Hebrew speaking Catholic Vicariate in Israel met today, February 20, 2009, in Latroun, renewing the once every two month rhythm for their pastoral meetings.

Present at the meeting were seven priests and one deacon, including the priests responsible for the communities in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv - Jaffa, Beer Sheba and Haifa and those responsible for the Russian speaking Catholics in the north and the south of the country.

The meeting began with prayer and then an exchange of news from the different communities.

The main subjects of the meeting were:
- Plans for the joint Vicariate celebration of Easter, on Sunday, April 12.
- Plans for the priestly ordination of Deacon Roman Kaminski on April 25.
- Discussing some of the issues around religious education classes for children in our communities.
- Plans for the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Israel in May.
- Planning the content of the community newsletter due out at Easter.
- Encouraging more participation from the faithful on the internet site.

The meeting ended with a meal of pizza, shared in the spirit of fraternity that characterizes these meetings.
