World Migrants’ Day in the Jerusalem parish
On Sunday, January 17, 2016, the Latin parish priest Father Firas Hijazeen OFM welcomed the priests and migrant faithful at a mass to celebrate the World Migrants’ Day.
In an atmosphere of celebration, the Arabic speaking parish at Saint Savior’s Church welcomed the migrants who came particularly from the Filipino community with their priests, Father Karol Kulpa, chaplain of the Good Shepherd Filipino community, and Father James Oclarit, chaplain of the Saint Lorenzo Ruiz Filipino community. The mass, the reception and the brief cultural program that included song and dance brought together the local Arabic speaking Catholics with the migrants. We are indeed all one Church!
