On this silent, holy night, give Jesus the child
That the joy you have bestowed on me might increase the joy of others
That the smile you have brought to my face might radiate in the faces of others
That the love with which you have filled my heart might be planted in the hearts of others
That the peace which you poured into my soul might penetrate the soul of others.

In this the miracle of Christmas is revealed.

The gifts God gives us on this night
Multiply in us when we pass them on to others
And there is always something left over for the unexpected guest
Who might knock on our door on this silent and holy night.
