The Indian Community Day was organized by the Indian Chaplaincy last Saturday, December 5, on the grounds of Terra Santa School in Jaffa. About 500 people participated in the event.

The day- long program began with the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Tojy Jose, the chaplain.

A number of games were conducted for all the participants including the children. There was also a fancy dress competition for the children. Participants feasted on cakes, cookies, sweets, Juice and spicy foods provided by the chaplaincy. “I liked the food, but I really enjoyed the games and I want this celebration every year,” said Asha D’Souza.

Fr. Tojy Jose expressed appreciation to the committee members, volunteers and sponsors who made the day a success. “Seeing our people enjoy themselves makes the hard work so worthwhile,” said the coordinator of the Community Day celebrations Roshan Rosario. “It is great seeing everyone have such a good time.”
