Anba Abraham, long time and beloved Coptic Orthodox Bishop of Jerusalem, passed away after a long illness on November 25, 2015.

It was a great surprise to one and all when it was announced that Pope Tawadros would preside the funeral mass, to be held on Saturday morning in Jerusalem. No Coptic Pope has visited Jerusalem in recent times. Pope Tawadros arrived in Jerusalem at the head of a delegation of bishops and other officials and will return to Cairo straight after the funeral.

We pray with our Coptic brothers and sisters in this moment of mourning!
