Charismatic retreats in the Indian community


Father Tojy, the Indian chaplain, reports on a series of charismatic retreats in the Indian community.

A series of charismatic retreats was organized by the Indian Chaplaincy for the Konkani speaking faithful in the Holy Land in preparation for the Christmas.

On October 31, 2015 in Jerusalem from 8.45 am to 12.00pm and in Nofiyam from 06.00 to 10.00 pm. About 150 people participated in each places.

There was a week-long retreat in Tel Aviv - OLWV from November 1 to 6, 2015 from 7.45 to 10.30 pm and on Saturday November 7, 2015 from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm at Beit Dani Hall in south Tel Aviv. About 700 people attended this retreat. Refreshment was served for all those present.

These retreats were preached by Father Franklin D'Souza from Shimoga diocese in India. He is a well-known charismatic retreat preacher in India. There was also an opportunity for confession and Holy Masses were celebrated. Many people experienced divine grace and healing during the retreat.
