Many guests, including three officials from the Filipino Embassy, came for the celebration, held in the open lot alongside the regular chapel of the Rehovot community. Father David Neuhaus, Latin Patriarchal Vicar, was the main celebrant and was assisted by Father Eric Wycoff, the chaplain of the community, and another visiting Salesian priest. A Salesian deacon and a theology student assisted at the altar.

After the mass there was a program that included traditional dances and singing, followed by a delicious meal.
