The sixth intercessory prayer for reconciliation, unity and peace coincides with the Vigil of Pentecost which is celebrated on the same day this year by all Christians. The Jerusalem Churches with one voice call upon all Christians throughout the world to join in a communion of prayer for reconciliation, unity and peace.

The Latin Church plans to have a solemn Liturgy of the Word in Latin, Arabic and Hebrew for the Vigil of Pentecost, reflecting on the Church’s beautiful tradition and local uniqueness so that Christians learn to know each other better.

The prayer service will be broadcasted live by Christian TV channels to the Middle East and Europe, and to the Americas by various media channels. A documentary on the Latin Church will be shown following the prayer service.
