Songs for Shabbat

Shabbat singing is a long tradition among the Jewish people. In synagogue, the shabbat is welcomed as a bride and a queen. At home, around the Shabbat table, family and friends sing songs of praise. We have gathered a small collection of Shabbat songs.

1. Yedid nefesh (Friend of the soul) - sung by Yehoram Gaon, Lecha Dodi (Let us go, beloved) - sung by Shlomo Carlebach and the melody of Shalom Aleichem by Giora Feidman. Photographs of synagogues in new York.
