Indian celebration of Saint Anthony in south Tel Aviv
Catholics from India have a great devotion to Saint Anthony of Padua. On June 14, 2016, a day after his official feast day, hundreds of Indians gathered in the Our Lady Woman of Valor Pastoral Center in Tel Aviv to celebrate the saint.
Before the mass in Konkani celebrated by Father Dharma and concelebrated also by the Indian chaplain, Father Tojy, the faithful went in procession through the streets of Tel Aviv with a statue of Saint Anthony. The procession was accompanied by a band and hundreds of faithful reciting the rosary and singing hymns.
