Stabat Mater - the most famous hymn for Lent period


In a short movie Fr. Piotr explains some features of the most popular catholic hymn for the period of Lent: Stabat Mater.

Stabat Mater is a 13th-century catholic hymn about Mary. It describes her suffering as Jesus Christ's mother during his crucifixion. The title comes from its first line: "Stabat Mater dolorosa", which means "the sorrowful mother was standing".
