"King Solomon and Jesus Christ", by Yaacov Shavit in HaAretz

The December 24, 2010 (Christmas eve in the Christian world) edition of "HaAretz" daily newspaper includes an interesting article about the parallel between King Solomon, son of David, and Jesus Christ, son of David, written by the Israeli historian Yaacov Shavit. We publish the link to the article.

It is interesting to point out that at the daily Roman Catholic mass for December 24, the first reading is exactly the one at the center of discussion in Yaacov Shavit's article: 2Samuel 7. The article is a fascinating Jewish reflection on the relationship between the Old Testament and the New.
